There are only two main factors that affect the cost of most holidays abroad, one is the strength of the pound, and the other is the cost of fuel.  Last year sterling went massively down and the oil price massively up in early summer.  Add in the world economic crisis last autumn creating problems with funding almost everything, and we move into a new year with little cause for optimism.  But history shows us that holidays are one of the last things you plan to cut from your budget, so in this, our 28th annual holiday magazine, we offer some ideas to whet your appetite.

If you are thinking of holidaying at home this year, Bath Travel offer a wide range of holidays in the UK including staying in one of our many wonderful country house hotels.  We can advise on boating holidays on our rivers and canals, adventure holidays for families and a range of holiday parks with great facilities.  Our most popular holiday in the UK is a short break in London, often including a night at the theatre at special low rates. 

Our own tour operator Palmair has been able to make big price cuts for this summer now that the price of oil has come down, and offers a very low deposit to secure your holiday of choice. .
