Itinerary

Day 1: UK – Sydney
Upon arrival at Sydney Airport, you will be transferred privately to 4* Oaks Sydney Goldbsbourgh Suites for a four-night stay on a room-only basis. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure at your hotel, which boasts spectacular Sydney harbour views. Perhaps take a stroll and enjoy food from some of the city’s best restaurants, right on the hotel’s doorstep.

Day 2: Sydney
Today you’ll be picked up from your hotel and head on the Full Day Blue Mountains Deluxe Day Tour. Stop at Calmsley Hill, a working farm also home to kangaroo, emu, wombat and koala. Enjoy morning tea and time to wander at leisure. Then, visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley, seeing beautiful vistas and enjoy a stress and hurry-free environment. Arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous Three Sisters. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colours. Stop at Blackheath and enjoy a two-course lunch with tea/coffee (beverages can be purchased at your own expense from the bar). Visit a selection of lookouts. Experience the view of Govetts Leap and the magnificent waterfall. Stop briefly to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice at the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, where you will enjoy sweeping views across to Sydney before travelling down the Bells Line of Road to Sydney. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your Sydney hotel.

Day 3: Sydney
Enjoy a free day to spend at leisure in Sydney. The city is the perfect place to stock up on designer fashion, local designs, handcrafted jewellery and chic homeware, thanks to the abundance of multi-storey shopping centres, unique boutiques, and bustling markets surrounding the city. Perhaps spend the day browsing your favourite shops – and possibly find some new ones!

Day 4: Sydney
This morning you’ll head on your Full Day Hunter Valley Food and Wine Experience Tour, which gives you the opportunity to experience Australia’s oldest wine producing region, the picturesque Hunter Valley. Arrive at opulent Leogate Estate Wines where you will learn about their wine making process and enjoy a wine tasting while overlooking the estate vineyards and the Brokenback Ranges. Finish the day at Roche Estate where you have time to explore the local shops and cafes. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 5: Sydney – Ayers Rock (Uluru)
Bid farewell to Sydney today, as you leave the city and are privately transferred to the airport for your flight to Ayers Rock. When you arrive you will be transferred privately to 4* The Lost Camel for a two-night stay on a room-only basis. This evening you will head on your Evening Uluru Sunset & BBQ Tour. This tour takes you to the Uluru sunset viewing area, which is 348 metres high. Enjoy nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine as the sun sinks over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is famous. After sunset, transfer to the exclusive barbecue site to enjoy dinner. Your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky and also explain some Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 6: Ayers Rock
This morning, get excited for your Morning Uluru Sunrise & Field of Light Tour. This tour will provide you with the opportunity to view the famous Field of Light. Arriving in complete darkness, in the quiet of pre-dawn, you will be able to enjoy the 50,000 globes of light in the desert, before making your way up the hill to the viewing platform. Enjoy a beverage as the sun starts to creep light throughout the sky and then watch in awe as it rises up in the distance behind Uluru, flooding the landscape. After sunrise you will be transferred to back your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 7: Ayers Rock – Port Douglas
Today it’s time to leave Ayers Rock behind and head for your final destination, Port Douglas. You’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cairns, and when you arrive you will be transferred privately to 4* Villa San Michele in Port Douglas for a four-night stay on a room-only basis. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy your hotel’s facilities. Perhaps relax in one of the two swimming pools or take a walk to explore the local area.

Day 8: Port Douglas
Today you’ll head on your Full Day Outer Barrier Reef Cruise. You will transferred to Port Douglas Marina where your cruise begins. Visit Agincourt Reef which is located at the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Here, special reefs known as ribbons run parallel to the Continental Shelf. Adjacent to the Coral Sea trench, these ribbon reefs are recognised as the most pristine eco-systems in the reef’s environment.  At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 9: Port Douglas
Get excited this morning for your Full Day Kuranda & Skyrail Tour. Travel on the historical rail journey to Kuranda, enjoying breathtaking views across the cane fields of Cairns to the tropical rainforest of Kuranda. Upon arrival in Kuranda, you will have free time to explore this fascinating village. At the scheduled time, board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to return to Cairns. Be amazed as you glide silently over the rainforest canopy. There are two stops on route to explore, including boardwalks and the CSIRO Interpretive Centre. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 10: Port Douglas
Enjoy a free day to spend at leisure in Port Douglas. Perhaps get up close to Australia’s native wildlife at the award-winning Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas (own expense). Spot kangaroos and koalas as you wander through the Wetlands; tiptoe past crocodiles in the Savannah; meet Nocturnal critters under a starry sky in Nocturnal Habitat, then take in views of the Rainforest from the treetop canopy walk.

Day 11: Port Douglas – UK
Today your holiday comes to an end. After checking out of your hotel, you will be privately transferred to Port Douglas Airport for your return flight home to the UK, with many memories of your Australian adventure to treasure.
